ICFO (Institute of Photonic Sciences) is looking for applications at the level of tenure-track Group Leader positions under the NEST program.
Scholarship Details
ICFO conducts wide-scope research in various disciplines that use optics and photonics, nanotechnology, nanoscience, biosciences, and quantum sciences, and their applications encompassing all regions of science and technology. The program seeks ambitious young researchers/scientists with an innovative research program based on branches of science and engineering (mentioned below) that use light-based concepts or technology. Applications with proposals addressing multidisciplinary themes that complement ICFO’s existing core strengths are particularly welcome.
The NEST program offers a very generous start-up package, cutting-edge and custom-designed laboratories with state-of-the-art advanced facilities, and the most advanced engineering support.

- Applications are open to ambitious young scholars with an innovative research theme at the forefront of any science and engineering technology branches that use light-based concepts or technologies.
- Applications with proposals addressing multidisciplinary areas that complement ICFO’s existing core strengths are welcome.
- Applicants should hold an excellent record of research achievements and publications in top-quality journals.
- All nationality are eligible: no restrictions of race to apply to the ICFO positions
